I was pleasantly surprised at what I found.<br /><br />My first impression of the golf course from a distance was that of a course built on a hillside with uneven lies. What I found was a course relatively flat with wide open fairways. The course is built around an upscale development. A drawback is the distance between green and tee box in order to provide as many residents as possible with a golf course view. It is definitely a ride only course when compared to Lake <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Wildwood</span>.<br /><br />The par is 71 with only three par 5's. There are multiple tees to accommodate all levels of play. The yardage from the regular tees is 6500 yards with a slope of 130. <br /><br />There are great practice facilities, a club house with pro shop, lounge and restaurant. It is easily accessible off Highway 80. The day I played was a "Chamber of Commerce Day". We enjoy all the amenities of this great community and want to share those same experiences.<br /><br />Golf is an important part of why we chose the Gold Country to live. We live in Lake <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Wildwood</span> on the 15<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">th</span> hole. Our home is located on the right side of the fairway at the landing area for most drives. We enjoy the opportunity to watch golfers all day long play the hole from that vantage point.<br /><br /><p>I love playing the course. The first five holes are a great way to start, you can easily play par golf, but after that the course gets difficult quickly. I don't know which hole is more difficult, the 8th or the 14th?
